Even More Predators Art

So here are some more Predators concepts I did and a nice set picture of the Dog Handler Predator and me! I am 6'3" and look how big the Predator is next to me
his claws are as big as my fingers! I designed his costume.. KNB guys built it! I have also posted some hound ideas i did but got rejected over a scarier design that Chris O. did. Predator "berserker" face ideas that I explored.
Also the some early predator designs..a red skinned Predator ( in an early draft of the script the "prey" traverse a desert section of the preserve where they get stalked by a different looking Pred.) the one in the middle is my version of a female predator(I know.. kind of silly).
Also the Predator ship...that I designed, modeled and textured. Soon I will post some early designs and maquettes I built of the ship. Enjoy! and THANK YOU to all of you that left me the kind comments!!!

more Predators

here are some more Armour designs for the new clan. I will post some more versions, tomorrow. Earlier on, the script called for a Samurai look to their Armour but we all came to the conclusion that was the wrong look for these new guys...less is more as Robert always says! Enjoy

Predators art

I am posting some art I did for Predators, stuff from very early on and some final comps. We had less than 8 weeks to come up with designs for the new clan of Predators..
KNB had to build them at the same time so we had to give them designs as we got them approved from the suits to the shoulder weapons. at the Same time Steve and Caylah ( the production designers had the art dept. humming on environments and locations...they also designed the center piece of the movie the Predator Camp, which turned out unbelievable! Anyway.. this is art created by me some from concept to final comp (i must admit though that I did have some help from our flame artist Drew De LaCruz with the drill plate tracking and color correction.) like always it is a pleasure to work with great artists and collaborate. I will be posting more next week!

Predators

it's been a long time since I have posted on this blog. Predators debuted on Friday
and I am very happy some of my work made it in! The drills, Predator ship and the dog tracker predator costume design that KNB knocked out of the park. I will be posting some of the designs next week.. stuff that I have worked on and pre-production art I did. But here is a pic with the beautiful Predator head that the awesome guys from KNB built!

more "Planet Terror" vfx

I am working on my reel so I am posting stills from the vfx shots I worked on Planet Terror,
some of the shots were cleaned up by other artists but the animation, lighting and final composite were done by me...I will post a before and after soon... I must give credit to some very good and talented guys Drew De La Cruz that cleaned the hell plate, that has the main character running by the tow truck...that particular shot was quite painful for both him to clean up and I, to animate and match lighting and do a day for night color correction on.. Aaron Burns who cleaned up the plate for the destroyed city matte I did...also Rod Brunet that rigged the table leg/machine gun set up.....the Grindhouse logo was spliced from three different versions mine, Rod's and Chris'...some of the shots with Wray I added cg knifes, blood and blood stains on the zombies, the Machete trailer shot I did the cg machete and comp etc ...check back soon for the before and after.
